Sweet Charity began as a small fundraiser in Chicago in 2003 with only a few local chefs and their guests. Since its inception, Sweet Charity has grown to become a successful fundraiser helping to replenish local under-resourced libraries and classrooms.Proceeds from Sweet Charity help The Heart of America Foundation’s Books From The Heart® program provide books to local DC area children living in poverty, who have few or no books of their own.
