The Cloud Cuckoo Land Library Makeover Campaign is a two-stage process. Stage one involves the nomination of an eligible site (via the nomination link below). Stage two involves community members voting for their chosen finalist.

Stage One: Nominate a School or Public Library

• Complete nomination form through the link below for the Site you want to nominate. A Site may receive multiple nominations, however, multiple submissions from the same individual are not permitted. 
• All nomination submissions must be received by 11:59PM ET on Friday, June 15, 2022.
• Up to (10) finalists will be selected to move forward to stage two of the campaign. Heart of America will notify those (10) finalists of their status in July.  Heart of America reserves the right to visit and/or collect additional information for further evaluation as needed for the voting stage

Stage Two: Community Selection 

• Finalist will be posted on or around Monday, July 25, 2022. Finalists will be contacted prior to posting. 
• Community members will be given the opportunity to vote on the finalists at heartofamerica.org/voting. Voting will open on August 1, 2022, and run through Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:59 pm ET.
• The makeover recipient will be determined as outlined in the official rules.
• Participants may log on to select a library more than once, but only one submission per day per participant will be allowed. 

HOA will select the final public or school library for the Cloud Cuckoo Land Library Makeover by mid-August and notify the recipient directly.

Rules for Nomination

The Cloud Cuckoo Land Library Makeover  Campaign is open to public and school libraries located in the continental United States of America (including Washington, DC.). Libraries located in Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories or otherwise outside the United States are not eligible. 

Public libraries must be operating in an area that has been determined to be historically under resourced and/or whose median area income is below that of the greater state. School libraries must serve students in grades K through 12 where the majority of students are eligible for Free and Reduced Meals. 

Individuals nominating a library must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. This Cloud Cuckoo Land Library Makeover  Campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participation constitutes Nominator’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Heart of America’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Campaign.

Receiving a Library Makeover or Book Pack is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
