Thank you for your interest in the Heart of America library initiative in Prince George’s County!
Made possible by a grant from Pull Up Fund, Heart of America (HOA) is leading a multi-million-dollar initiative to completely transform the libraries at 47 Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) in Maryland.
In addition to providing over 25,000 books to the district, there will be high-tech learning resources, including smart TVs, projectors, computer stations, 3D printers, robotics kits, Arduino and Raspberry Pi tools, LEGO MINDSTORMs, VEX Robotics, Sphero robots, and makerspaces with engineering instruments, digital calipers, and construction kits.
The new books and high-tech learning resources will be housed in libraries transformed with biophilic, nature-inspired materials, lighting, and gathering spaces to create an inviting environment that supports student learning, overall health, and wellbeing. This initiative is designed to have a lasting impact by addressing the big-picture issues facing PGCPS.
HOA has been transforming learning spaces for underserved students in the U.S. since 1997, helping bridge the resource gap and give all students a place to learn, discover, and thrive.

Andrew Jackson Academy
One of the first school libraries completed, Andrew Jackson is an inspiring, creative hub for the school. Bright, energetic pops of color plus shelves full of books tell kids they are important.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School
As the alma mater of Pull Up Fund’s founder and a large space with multiple learning areas, Eleanor Roosevelt’s library is something to be truly proud of.
