Rogers, TX — November 5, 2025. Matrix Renewables and SOLV Energy, in partnership with national education nonprofit Heart of America (HOA), announced the completion of a vibrant transformation at Rogers Independent School District (Rogers, Texas): the school’s former library—once also used as an English classroom—has been reimagined into a modern STEM classroom and Robotics Lab that will serve as the district’s central hub for hands-on learning and after-school innovation.

The renovated space features collaborative worktables, soft seating, and cutting-edge tools, including 3D printers, robotics kits, VR technology, laptops, and a green screen with lighting. A special “Good Energy Corner” connects students’ learning to real-world sustainability by showcasing the nearby Stillhouse Solar project—a Matrix Renewables solar generation facility powering clean energy in Bell County.

“This transformation is about more than just a physical space: it’s about empowering the next generation of thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers,” said Jill Hardy Heath, President and CEO of Heart of America. “Through our partnership with Matrix Renewables and SOLV Energy, we’ve reimagined the existing space into a modern STEM and Robotics Lab that connects students directly to the future of clean energy and technology.”

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to education, community engagement, and clean-energy innovation.

“Matrix is proud to support the reimagining of Rogers ISD’s library into a cutting-edge center of learning,” said Cindy Tindell, Managing Director & Head of U.S. at Matrix Renewables. “By empowering students to collaborate on new ideas, we’re helping build a brighter, smarter, and more sustainable future for our community.”

On SOLV Energy’s side, “The Rogers school transformation is a powerful example of what collaboration can achieve,” added George Hershman, CEO of the company. “Together with HOA and Matrix Renewables, we’ve created spaces that spark curiosity and open doors to careers in clean energy. Being a good neighbor means investing in the future of our communities, and we invite others in the solar industry to join us in creating opportunities that extend far beyond the jobsite.”

The new STEM and Robotics Lab stands as a living example of how clean-energy investment can fuel education and opportunity. By combining innovation in renewable energy with hands-on STEM learning, the partnership between Matrix Renewables, SOLV Energy, and Heart of America demonstrates how sustainable progress begins with empowering young minds—preparing students in Rogers, Texas, to imagine and build the world of tomorrow.
